Product Description
Memory training provides an innovative educational program for people with age-related memory concerns. Based upon research conducted by Dr. Gary Small at the Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior, the UCLA Center on Aging developed Memory Training to further its mission “to enhance and extend productive and healthy life through preeminent research and education on aging.”
Memory Training presents effective memory-enhancing techniques to individuals and organizations within the Los Angeles area and throughout the nation. vibrantBrains has obtained the franchise for Memory Training
- Classes meet for five consecutive weeks, two hours each week.
- Trained instructors teach the curriculum to small groups of participants.
- The course combines trainer presentations with group discussions, memory checks, and skill-building exercises.
- The interactive classroom environment promotes both education and enjoyment.
The course is designed to help participants:
- Acquire general strategies to improve memory.
- Remember names and faces.
- Develop techniques to recall numbers.
- Learn about factors that affect memory.
Class Schedule
Two-hour sessions are held once a week, for five weeks. The next series will be on Monday evenings, from 6:00pm until 8.00pm, beginning October 26th. (please note that the first class will be approximately 15 minutes longer than the other sessions).
- Session 1: Monday, October 26th, 6 – 8pm
- Session 2: Monday, November 2nd, 6 – 8pm
- Session 3: Monday, November 9th, 6 – 8pm
- Session 4: Monday, November 16th, 6 – 8pm
- Session 5: Monday, November 23rd, 6 – 8pm

Organize Your Own Class
Put together a group for a UCLA Memory Training class and share the benefits of memory-enhancing techniques with your friends and family. We will be happy to work with groups of 5 – 15 participants to customize a class according to your schedule. For a group of 5, the organizer will receive 50% off the cost of his or her class. For groups of 10, the organizer will be eligible to take the class at no charge.
